Based on the program, a small seminar is being held at the Southern Agricultural Scientific Research Institute in order to identify the obstacles and existing problems faced by the participants of the agro-food value chain, and to analyze the ways to solve them.

Funded by the European Union, the United Nations in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan within the framework of the project “Supporting the inclusive transition of the agriculture and food sector to green economy and climate-oriented agricultural knowledge and development of the innovative system (EU-AGRIN)”. A number of works aimed at the development of agriculture are being carried out in Tashkent, Fergana and Kashkadarya regions.
In particular, in Tashkent, Fergana and Kashkadarya regions, 18 innovative groups with scientific and practical solutions aimed at adapting agriculture to climate change and mitigating its negative consequences are working on innovative projects.
Within the framework of the EU-AGRIN project, the Civitta company was engaged in the development of the “Analytical document” (abbreviation of Policy) aimed at further strengthening the innovative system in the agri-food sector and reforming the sector.
The “Analytical Document” (Policy Abbreviation) developed by this company focuses on the following three important areas:
1) Intellectual property rights (new seeds and plant varieties, new technology);
2) Access of agri-food enterprises to energy markets;
3) regulation and financial incentives for climate-friendly agriculture.
In order to take into account the opinions and suggestions of agricultural experts, experts of the “Civitta” company held dialogues in Tashkent, Fergana and Kashkadarya regions and began to analyze the problems and obstacles awaiting their solution.
In today’s seminar, participants of the agro-food value chain plan to identify obstacles and existing problems and analyze ways to solve them, discuss problems and identify new opportunities through various secret votes in the Mentimeter system. The seminar will present successful experiences and approaches in agriculture in the European Union and around the world.
